EcoVadis Sustainability

Since 2020, we have been honored to collaborate with EcoVadis, the world's foremost business sustainability ratings provider. Boasting a network of over 90,000 rated companies, including industry leaders like BAYER, Deutsche Bahn, BASF, and Brenntag, EcoVadis offers a comprehensive rating system. This system evaluates a broad spectrum of non-financial management systems, considering their effects on the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The assessment incorporates 21 CSR criteria within these areas, which are derived from global CSR standards such as the UN Global Compact's ten principles, the ISO 26000 standard, the CERES principles, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

In response to the evolving sustainability demands for forward-thinking companies, we sought EcoVadis's assessment of our sustainability performance for the first time in 2020. In 2023, for the third year running, we once again engaged EcoVadis to evaluate and certify our sustainability performance in areas like environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This ongoing assessment fosters transparency and enhances our internal sustainability practices. We are proud to have received the Silver Medal once again, which places UMS among the top 15% of all rated companies.
