Initial situation

  • A large, international full-service logistics provider needed excellent managers
  • Due to the highly complex environment in logistics sites, managers needed additional tools and support
  • Every year, around 100 managers from the company's own ranks were to be qualified for their tasks in a very diverse and changing environment
  • Managers should be qualified for their current and future management tasks and international networks should be established to enable managers to work at any location

  • Work with the responsible manager to determine which individual skills are important for store floor management and should be further developed as part of the program in order to meet business requirements
  • Conduct targeted and standardized training with Gemba Walks on the following topics
    • Recognize customer requirements
    • Living transformational leadership
    • Acquire lean leadership
  • Providing managers with targeted support and coaching in selected lean improvement projects with the help of Leader Standard Work
