Increasing sales and reducing costs through agile transformation in energy supply

Initial situation

  • A local German energy supplier needed to adapt to a rapidly changing market environment
  • There were changes to the legal requirements to make the energy supply climate-neutral and to increase the proportion of renewable energies in the electricity mix significantly > 80% (energy transition)
  • Around 1,400 employees in B2B/B2C sales and in the network area were faced with the challenge of aligning their processes more closely with new customer needs
  • The realignment should generate savings of at least € 4.5 million p.a., build internal capabilities to reduce unnecessary effort and thus significantly increase the agile maturity level of the organization
