Ecovadis

We are pleased to be a proud partner of EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of corporate sustainability ratings, since 2020. EcoVadis has a network of more than 150,000 rated companies, including BAYER, Deutsche Bahn, BASF and Brenntag. The EcoVadis rating covers a wide range of non-financial management systems, including the impact of the following areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. A total of 21 CSR criteria within these areas are included in the assessment. These criteria are based on international CSR standards, including the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, the ISO 26000 standard, the CERES principles and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Since 2020, we have had our sustainability performance regularly assessed by EcoVadis in order to continuously promote transparency and our internal sustainability practices. Since December 2025, we have proudly held the platinum medal, placing us in the top 1% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Social, societal and ecological responsibility is firmly anchored in our corporate culture and our focus areas. It is a decisive factor for our performance and the success of our company.

We are committed to supporting the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. They cover human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption and provide us with a practical orientation for our business approach. By integrating these principles into our daily work, we actively contribute to achieving a positive impact on society and the environment.

We also use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework to demonstrate our contribution to sustainability.

Since 2025, the Expleo Group, to which UMS Consulting belongs, has also been officially committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Our short and long-term climate targets have been validated by the SBTi and are in line with the Paris Climate Agreement (1.5 °C pathway). Expleo and UMS are pursuing the goal of achieving net-zero emissions across the entire value chain by 2040.

We are also proud to be a partner ofEcoVadisa global leader in sustainability performance assessment. This collaboration enables us to make our corporate responsibility even more effective and to achieve a positive impact on society and the environment.

As an EcoVadis partner, we undergo a comprehensive assessment of our sustainability practices based on international standards and guidelines. This assessment covers various aspects of sustainability, including environmental protection, working conditions, ethics, human rights and procurement practices.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is based on four main pillars:

  • Ethical action
  • Our values
  • Empowerment of our employees
  • Promoting responsible business partners

For us, sustainable management does not end at the company’s borders. We also expect our business partners to share our values and act in accordance with the same high ethical, social and ecological standards.

Our human rights policy provides a binding framework for thisand ourSupplier Code of Conduct. Both guidelines define clear expectations regarding respect for internationally recognized human rights, fair working conditions, environmental protection and integrity along the entire value chain.

Should violations of these principles occur despite all due care, they can be reported at any time via our confidential whistleblower system:whistleblower@ums-gmbh.com

We guarantee absolute confidentiality and protection against reprisals.

Finks Hawzien

Knowledge and skills are the basis for sustainable success, prosperity and stability. We believe in that.

Accordingly, we at UMS are committed to training people in many ways. Even beyond our core business.

Since 2008, we have been investing specifically in the construction and expansion of a kindergarten and a school in Ethiopia and in the training of children and teachers. It is a great task and it is a pleasure to see the successes. Today, 120 children attend the kindergarten and 320 children attend the school.

We would like to invite you to find out more about the project and get involved. Please contact our managing director Olin Roenpage or visit the association’s websiteFinksHawzien.
